Event Description

Meet Tamim Ansary, Afghan-American, author, lecturer and teacher, for a community conversation "An Afghan-American Odyssey:  My Bi-Cultural Life in a Post 9-11 World." Ansary will share his story of a bi-cultural life: having been born in Afghanistan, studied in the United States and now traveling back and forth between the two as an adult.  Ansary will discuss his more recent travels to Afghanistan after the fall of the Taliban, lessons he has learned from being of both cultures, and the differentiating world-views between Afghans and Americans.
