The Council for a Parliament of the World's Religions (CPWR) is seeking a Communications Intern. The intern is responsible for monitoring religion stories in the media, researching and posting inter-religious current affairs and maintaining interesting content on the Parliament blog and e-newsletter. The intern assists with social media including Twitter, Facebook and the CPWR’s own social networking site, PeaceNext.org. The intern assists with preparation and editing of targeted email campaigns. Other duties may include writing, copyediting, database entry/management, design/desktop publishing, video editing, and creative thinking to continually improve our organizations communications.
Interns work at the main office of CPWR in Chicago, IL. Internships are unpaid.
The Council for a Parliament of the World's Religions works to cultivate harmony among the world's religious and spiritual communities and foster their engagement with the world and its guiding institutions in order to achieve a just, peaceful and sustainable world. The Parliament achieves this through trainings, webinars, large-scale interreligious gatherings and working with religious and spiritual communities around the world.
