Program and Outreach Intern The Council for a Parliament of the World's Religions (CPWR) is seeking an Intern to work on diverse aspects of CPWR Programming, Trainings, Communications, Media and Administration. The Program and Outreach Intern will be in charge of organizing interfaith trainings both in the Chicago area and in other cities in the United States. The position also entails assisting with outreach and planning for the next Parliament of the World’s Religions in Brussels. This includes researching and assisting in the cultivation of top leaders in the interreligious movement. The Intern may also do a small amount of writing and research for the organization’s e-newsletter. Some amount of administration and office work will also be necessary. This position requires a person who in self-motivated, good with people, organized and poised in social settings. An interest in religion, the interreligious movement and/or conflict resolution is preferred. The Intern may also provide copyediting, creative feedback and offer new ideas to enrich outreach and communication program.

Interns work at the main office of CPWR in Chicago, IL. Internships are unpaid.

The Council for a Parliament of the World's Religions works to cultivate harmony among the world's religious and spiritual communities and foster their engagement with the world and its guiding institutions in order to achieve a just, peaceful and sustainable world. The Parliament achieves this through trainings, webinars, large-scale interreligious gatherings and working with religious and spiritual communities around the world.
