Peace, Peace Nexters.
I am working on a promotional publication for the InterFaith Settlement Foundation and I can use your help. I am trying to brainstorm a collection of respective Holy Scripture verses (particularly from Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, and Islam) that direct adherents to have compassion for, and interact with, the stranger.
I can think of the teachings in the Torah to have compassion for the stranger, the teachings from the Gospels to love the enemy, and the teachings in the Bhagavad Gita to realise the essence of God in all living creatures. Can you think of anything else (maybe more contemporary teachings from religious leaders)? Is there a website or a book that stockpiles these teachings?
I appreciate your consideration.
Peter Frank Womack
Peace.
