Materialism has not taken us far enough spiritually. The consumption culture promotes indulgence, says it’s good to satisfy every whim, to have low impulse control, to equate your worth with your possessions. The opposite of what is needed to transform the direction life seems to be going on Earth. Let us seek global awareness to shift from the idea "it's good to consume, conquer and control" to "understanding enough without waste". That means modesty in every aspect of daily life, eating, vacationing, indulging, consuming a little less in general. Fast from wanting and begin to do, think and say what is needful. Lets go slow. It's seeing ourselves as responsible for the future of the planet where there is room for every species; plant, mineral, animal and humankind.
