Thanks Anand for sharing the photos of Gus Dur. I want everyone to consider signing my petition for the release of Iranian Nobel Peace laureate Dr Shirin Ebadi's sister, Nushin Ebadi, who is a dentist and not connected in any way with Dr Ebadi's political work or with the ongoing protests in Iran. It appears Mrs Nushin Ebadi has been detained to put pressure on her Nobel Peace laureate sister to discontinue her work and to silence her from talking. Hi, RE: Positive Thinking vs Developing Positive Attitude
Yes, I agree. As far as positive thinking goes – I think it is great for the individual, yet developing positive attitude has the ability to enhance other lives as well. By having open minds and hearts, with true compassion feeling for others, appreciating other’s knowledge and beliefs we can begin to rectify some of our beliefs.

To quote writer Adam Phillips: "Tradition keeps us running errands for the dead." Yet, I believe there is great beauty in tradition or religious experience, but like a magnificent ancient tree, one must acknowledge the dead or dying parts of the tree and the new growth that emerges.

I believe it is time to be moving forward, bridging the gaps in our societies, leaving the old behind, making a new path for all with true equality for all world citizens - and develop our humanity to contribute towards World peace and the restoration of our beautiful Earth.
