According to the UN, over 50 million girls in India are missing: having been aborted, killed, or neglected to death simply because they are female. In some regions, no baby girl has survived in years. Help us make a difference.

The Parliament has provided me an opportunity to expand my awareness. I was raised Presbyterian but as a teen took a fork in the road to "find myself" and it no longer included organized religion. I spent many years struggling with the word "God" and searching for my purpose on this earth by avoiding religion. I have devoted more than 30 years to my work in human services and each day I have meditated to a higher power that I provide my very best to those I serve, that I continue to be the best Human Being I can be. I now realize it is only the story I chose to believe along the way that caused me so much anquish. I have believed in "God" all along and I am so grateful to have participated in this world event, to have met people from all parts of the globe coming together under one sky, part of one worldly community who all care for eachother and their world. There is only Love and through our love we are absolute Unity!!
