Save and Protect India's Girls

According to the UN, over 50 million girls in India are missing: having been aborted, killed, or neglected to death simply because they are female. In some regions, no baby girl has survived in years.

Help us make a difference.

Every Day. Tragedy.

Every day, 7,000 girls are aborted in India simply because they are female.

Sadly, even if they live, many girls in India face a childhood of neglect, in which they aren't fed nearly enough. They aren't immunized or taken to the doctor as their brothers are. And when they die, it is not considered a tragedy.

Just because they are girls.

With nobody to marry, boys are suffering as well. Partially as a result, violent crimes against women are up by 800% in India, and the nation has been declared to be the 4th most dangerous for women and girls in the world.

The Society for the Protection of the Girl Child is working with leaders of all faiths, alongside civil society, governmental and non-governmental organizations, as well as volunteers, to help end the deadly practices of gendercide. Together, differences can be made. And girls can be recognized as the precious gifts they are.

Your words resonate truth. Namaskar is not through meditation but a cultural practice of folding your hands together and saluting intentionally and awake and consciously each individual one may meet and then consciously and awake remain focusing your eyes into the individual before you and sincerely allowing them to practice seeing the divinity in you. Whether you are meditating in the shrine or the caves, whether you do japa 108 times or 10,000 times, a continued practice is also practiced by the masses through service of and worship of the divinity of all humankind and the sustainability of mother earth. No matter what one does if done remembering divinity and the upliftment of all humankind, worshipping the spirit in action with the goal of inaction in action; All paths lead to  Brahman. Each individual is potentially divine as a  jnana, bhakti, raja, karma practioner.leading one to the source of unconditonal love, compassion ate service and the evolution and involution of all. Serve in the world but be not of it. Give until the giving merges you into wholeness.

educating girls and society for this cause is very necessary as it is the woman through which a man is born and a woman is the very scource of this creation. In fact if we really want a change we should incorporate meditation as a necessary part of education of all soughts in this world as this is the only way that a person becomes aware of the vast creation of the Lord and starts respecting everything around him/her and this takes a man in the right direction and thought process as then he can hear what the Lord within tells him to do.Love Love Love. With this star promoting the people about all the good things in life through media and spread the wave of positivity all around giving little importance to the negativities of life by just informing about the darker side of life but not making it larger than life as is being done nowdays..........Alll this can change if every person statrs meditating and prayig for the wlfare of one and all............IK ONKAR SATNAM SRI Waheguru

Swami Vivekananda's 175th is being honored in India with much grant money.

Being that Swami Vivekananda was the Hindoo Monk who spoke in 1893 at the World Parliament and then returned to India and wanted to see girls and women uplifted and educated, to transform the consciousness of humanity and evolve the cultural challenges that did not value girls as equal gender to boys.

With education and advocates for life, perhaps his seeds may be watered now to fructify and cease the injustice being inflicted to the most helpless the fetus.

In 1896 a letter was written by Swami Vivekananda the Hindoo Monk who spoke at the Parliament of Religions in 1895, wrote from England to his brothers in India: There is no chance for the welfare of the world unless the condition of women is improved. It is not possible for a bird to fly on only one wing. In the Ramakrishna  Incarnation the acceptance of woman as the Guru, his preaching the Motherhood of women as the representation of the Divine Mother. Hence it is my first eneavor to start a math (convent) for women. This math shall be the origin of Gargis and Maitreyis and women of higher attainments than these, I shall supply all the expenses for that work...

Namaste,

in much gratitude in finding you and the passionate work of saving divine life.
Girls are the daughters of the Divine and the balance to the whole of humanity.
If the world was illumined in consciousness for all mankind to see, they would
be worshipping the divine feminine in the purest form of the spirit's chosen birth
as a girl, a daughter and mother of divinity and unconditional love and compassion.

We will continue to serve as we are called and never cease until the solution is
a reality bringing spirit into the world is not for man to decide who is to live or
die; be nurtured or abused. It is the partnership that we are in with the divine,
to cherish each daughter as if god was present. It is man's duty and dharma
to evolve to his fullest potential and worship knowing shiva shakti is in all.
We are to worship the holy twins of divinity and serve as we would have
Gd be served within an altar.

In pujas we say ihagatcha, ihagathca, welcome  welcome divine soul. Please
come and allow us to worship and serve you as Shiva Shakti within Jivas.
First we must protect the divine feminine in girls and pray for the upliftment
in society to evolve from animality to humanity. So is shall be the balance
within and the balance without that brings us to peace and love, compassion.

Thank you for all you are contributing in your life's and now in mine.

This story brings tears to my eyes.

(By the way -- hello! I am a anew member and this is my very first post!)

One of the things that has upset me the most for many, many years is the situation of girls who are abducted for the prostitution trade. I am a writer and have long yearned to help out in some way or the other.

I'd like to draw your attention to an interview I had many years ago with Dr Gilada of Mumbai, concerning child prostitution:

http://www.sharonmaas.co.uk/html/interview_with_dr_gilada.html

One of my aims in life is to raise enough money to provide a home for rescued girls.
