Common Good and Wellbeing for All
St. Michael Anglican Church
12996-60th Av, Surrey, BC
September 12, 2009
The Global Clergy Association of Canada, along with other religious
and interfaith organizations of Greater Vancouver, hosted a
Pre-Parliament Event in association with the Council of Parliament
of World’s Religions, Chicago, USA on September 12, 2009 at St.
Michael’s Church in Surrey.
Bishop M. Ingham of West Minster Anglican Diocese graced the Event
as a Keynote speaker. Representatives from different religions
offerred a short prayer. There were also speeches on the theme of
the event and interreligious activities in British Columbia,
classical Indian dance, round table discussions, a Christian
chorus, closing remarks, and a time for prayer. We hoped to:
• Promote, spur and augment inter-religious dialogue, and further
efforts towards understanding and harmony;
• Increase Vancouver area outreach for the 2009 Melbourne,
Australia Conference;
• Promote peace and environment awareness among the diverse
traditions of religions and faiths.
