I am inspired by:

Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Archbishop Tutu, Karen Armstrong, Mother Teresa, Oscar Romero, Cesar Chavez, Thomas Merton, the Dalai Lama, and the grass roots movements world wide in which ordinary people who have everything to lose stake everything to bring about change, working against all the odds to achieve the impossible

My favorite spiritual places:

Malta & Gozo, Italy, Salisbury and environs, New Mexico....

Interreligious causes I care about:

Creating harmony and understanding among the world's religions, eliminating prejudice and violence, healing the planet, eliminating real (as opposed to fabricated) weapons of mass destruction, sexism etc. etc.

Changes I am working toward in my community:

Transformation of consciousness through teaching, preaching, writing, workshops, retreat and spiritual direction

About Me:

Born in England, raised in Malta, I see myself as a cosmic traveller who is most at home in the mystical but who finds divinity in every person and every landscape. A college professor for more than three decades, I presently teach courses in Mystical Consciousness and the Divine Feminine at Columbia College, Chicago; I have authored many books and articles, and offer weekly scripture reflections at Sunday BibleTalk which I launched in 2004.
