The Catechism has some juicy and challenging passages (836-845) on the relationship of the Church to other denominations and faiths. The books of Ruth, Job and New Testament letters take a circumspect view. Let's learn about ourselves and each other!
Inter religious Dialogue as a way of promoting peace.
My favorite spiritual places:
Warburton, Australia and the Central part of Australia
Interreligious causes I care about:
Creating as sense of community and common sharing.
Changes I am working toward in my community:
Promoting Knowledge of and connecting with other faith communities
I am a member of the Carmelites an International Contemplative Religious Community of men and women in the Catholic Church which seekes to promote community both locally and internationally and a sense of the transcendent. We do this through establishing spirituality centres, schools, parishes and involvement in centres of higher learning. My province extends to East Timor. I am Co Director and Co founder of Sancta Sophia Meditation Community founded to promote Inter Religious Dialogue particularly by the practice of Meditation. The community has been functioning for the past 14 years.
