About Me:
My name is Miranda and I'm 17 years old. Over the past few years, I have come to realize how much religious acceptance means to me. I live in an area that is primarily one belief system, a belief system that frequently judges others' faiths. My New Thought beliefs don't usually fit. There have been people in my life that started out as my friends, but then distanced themselves as soon as they realized that my beliefs are very different. No one should be judged by a friend for what they believe. That is why I started Cherokee Youth Interfaith, a website for inter-religious dialogue between teens in my community. Together, we will begin planning youth interfaith events that will encourage, open, accepting communication between today's youth, and tomorrow's leaders.
