I wanted to share this great idea with all of you...in support of our Muslim Sisters and Brothers, and in celebration of Eid, and in protest to the horrific 'church' in Florida that plans to burn the Qu'ran in protest over the faith tradition of Islam, I support WEAR A HIJAB DAY, and I shall wear Hijab on 9/11 in support of my sisters and brothers around the world! I have a number of mates who are properly shaking their heads and wondering why on earth I would fast for one month...why would I observe a holiday for a faith tradition that isn’t mine? or merely just wondering ‘what the hell is she thinking?’ Some of you who know me well enough might just smile and think to yourself – well it makes perfect sense to me :D In fact, my son asked me this very question…
