I have come to PeaceNext looking for:
networking, interreligious advocacy
Interreligious causes I care about:
Peacemaking, nonviolence
Changes I am working toward in my community:
Accompaniment in Colombia, Advocacy in Israel/Palestine, Preventing Gun Violence, Closing SOA/WHINSEC, Nonviolent Direct Action, Conscientious Objection
About Me:
The Presbyterian Peace Fellowship is all about taking action to reduce violence in the world. The people who get involved in our work need to be ready to follow Jesus into the same kind of risk, daring, and potentially life-threatening work that got his earliest followers into so much trouble. We’re about a positive, gospel-centered vision of peace. When genuine peace seems distant, we’re called to increase our faithfulness. When weariness seems to overtake us, we’re called to lift one another up and to continue our quest for the elusive reign of God.

Presbyterians

Is it just me, or do there seem to be a lot of Presbyterians involved in the Interreligious movement?  This group is to help Presbyterian Christians connect with each other to help our denomination (I assume PC(USA) ) to be more interreligiously friendly.See More

Hello, I have a deep and enduring connection to the Peace Fellowship. My husband, Paul, and I began our global journey and the launch of the Global Room for Women because of a mission trip through 4th Presbyterian in Chicago into the slums of Nairobi. It's a journey that transformed our lives forever and opened our eyes to the rest of the world. We will be traveling to the Middle East this summer to talk to women peacebuilders about their work on the ground and the beautiful resilience they hold for their families and communities. We will watch for updates from the Fellowship! In Peace, Linda Higdon, Host of the Global Room for Women
