I have come to PeaceNext looking for:
networking, interreligious advocacy, interreligious exploration, intrareligious reflection
I am inspired by:
The Spirit of Interfaith...teaching it and living it and by Sacrd Activism which demands of us that we DO something to bring about change for all human beings, all the other residents of our planet, and the planet herself.
My favorite spiritual places:
The Red centre of Australia (especially Uluru), Trees, Oceans, Lakes and Streams, All Deserts and Mountains, especially the Mountains of the NY Berkshires.
Interreligious causes I care about:
Interfaith Education, especially for children, as a pathway to peace, and Interfaith action to address the inequities of our civilization.
Changes I am working toward in my community:
Respect and acceptance everyone's experience of the Divine, and a rebalancing of the wealth of our planet so that all may live free from want, free from fear and with freedom to live with dignity.
About Me:
I am married to an extraordinary woman...my beloved Deborah. I am a father and a grandfather.
A graduate of New York University, I am the Executive Director of the New Seminary for Interfaith Studies in New York City and received my Certificate in Spiritual Counseling from the New Seminary. I graduated and received Smicha (Rabbinical Ordination) from the Rabbinical Seminary International.
I have the honor of being the Executive Director of the Rabbinical Seminary International as well as the Rabbinical Fellowship of America, International and Board member of the International Federation of Rabbis.
I am treasurer of the Committee on Spiritual Values and Global Concerns at the United Nations (NY) and a member of the United Religious Initiative and the Tri-Partite Commission at the UN as well. I've been certified as a Usui Reiki Master Teacher and a Karuna Reiki Master Teacher and have a private practice in Usui and Karuna Reiki. In addition, I offer Marital Counseling as well as Spiritual Counseling for couple and singles, and perform life cycle ceremonies worldwide.
