Mother Nature and all Humanity, my parents and many holy teachers religious leaders in all religions, as also many friends, adults and childrens, inspire me to try work more and more about Oneness...
My favorite spiritual places:
Everywhere is a favorite spiritual place... : in Zen Buddhisme it say "Life is perfect as it is... " So, everywhere, include ourselves, can be a temple, a holy place...

Interreligious causes I care about:
I work in Italy since 1990 with some local interfaith associations, since 2007 I serve GPIW as Coordinator GPIW-Italy in this country, and I try to develop more contact between differents religions present in Italy.
Changes I am working toward in my community:
I'm trying to develope more contact between Catholic Bishop, Muslim, Buddhist etc... living in this region (Cuneo province/Piemont-Italy)
About Me:
Reverend Doju D. Freire, Italy (texte from a GPIW program)
Rev. Doju D. Freire is a Zen Buddhist nun, dancer, educator and author. She was born in Brazil, where her affinity for expressing herself through movement was recognized early. By the age of seventeen, she was dancing and teaching professionally. Soon after her professional launch, she moved to Italy and immersed herself in the study of natural movement, children’s expression, creativity and healing. In her twenties, she added Tai Chi and Buddhism to her studies. She was ordained as a Buddhist nun in 1998. Her educational programs about sitting meditation and a “Place for Silence” are used in many Italian schools. She’s also developed programs of ‘free form dance art’ as a way of connecting to the deepest symbol of the Feminine and as a means to express the peaceful “open space” inside us all. Rev. Doju teaches meditation at Dojo Zen Sanrin community in Fossano. Rev. Doju also serves on the International Steering Committee of “Making Way for the Feminine”, (Jaipur-India) and heads up the delegation from Italy. Since 2007 she is GPIW - Italy Coordinator.

Dear Rev. Doju,

Thank you for the kind and generous message. It would be wonderful if you would like to make a calligraphy on clothe with mantras of peace and love. With the stones and seeds, you could also add many little bells to make a necklace to adorn the World Peace Barong / Barong Pa-Hayu Buwana.

Must be the barong would be very very happy to carry offerings from you that can give concrete direct effect for enlightenment. Just as Siddhartha Gautama did in the Lotus Sutra, without saying - when he pointed to the lotus and at that moment it blossomed and gave direct understanding for enlightenment.

In joy,
Diane and Suprapto, on behalf of the World Peace Barong
