Profile Information

Religion / Faith
Unitarian Universalist
I have attended the Parliament of Religions:
Melbourne 2009, Barcelona 2004, Chicago 1993
Local Religious Community / Interfaith Affiliation:
!st Unitarian Chicago/Hyde Park Kenwood Intrfaith Council
I have come to PeaceNext looking for:
networking, interreligious advocacy, intrareligious reflection, friendship
I am inspired by:
Compassionate communication with other people when I can give and receive empathy and then move to understanding and cooperative action
My favorite spiritual places:
My First Unitarian Church in Chicago during a choir service.
Interreligious causes I care about:
Local, the Hyde Park Kenwood Thanksgiving Service and World wide, Peace
Changes I am working toward in my community:
Finding connections between and among churches, social service organizations Kiwanis and ward organizations to work on local and international challenges.
About Me:
I am Grandma Rosemary finding many more ideas of ways to serve than there is time, computer space or fingers to work on.
I would like to see more listening and less "only one way", "only one solution" to challenges of conservation of the world's resources, finding of energy resources (why not use radio frequency warming to produce oil with limited environment impact and combine with wind power )

Rosemary, I have just completed my first year at Meadville Lombard.  I attended services at First Unitarian and asked about you and your daughter--several months ago.  I hope to see you sometime when I am back in Chicago.  Peace, Lynnda White

Welcome, Rosemary. If you would like to tell us about yourself, it would be wonderful. Something about "listening" as well as what you do.

Your interfaith efforts at First UU in Chicago sound terrific. Do you have a website? I am a member of the Boulder Valley UU Fellowship in Colorado.
