Nonviolent resolutions to conflict... Mother Teresa... Mahatma Gandhi... Nelson Mandela... Thich Naht Hanh... People who are not afraid to leave the comforts of home and explore the culture and society of foreign places.

My favorite spiritual places:

Pyramid Peak, Gallup, NM.

Interreligious causes I care about:

Interfaith communication and advocay, outside the normal urban society, within smaller communities. Bioethical contemplation. International Human Rights Law and Cross- cultural nonviolent efforts

About Me:

While in college at the University of La Verne in CA, I discovered Peace and Religious Studies thanks to a very devoted group of professors and interfaith friends. Since then my interest has exploded... I studied abroad in Galway, Ireland to further understand the Republics conflict with Northern Ireland. I visited Kolkata and Darjeeling and Kalimpong to see monks and other Buddhist/Hindu worshippers in action. I've been accepted to the Peace Corps and am leaving in March of 2013 to delve deeper into cultural differences and similarities. Upon return from the Corps, I plan to apply to the Universidad para la Paz in Costa Rica.
