Religion / Faith
Spiritually Eclectic
I have attended the Parliament of Religions:
Never
I have come to PeaceNext looking for:
networking, interreligious advocacy, interreligious exploration, intrareligious reflection
I am inspired by:
The Dahlia Lama, The Hugging Saint, Louise Hay, Jane Goodall, Shinnyo-en Foundation and all those people who understand that religion should never divide us - it should unite us in the understanding that as humans we all have the basic need of spirituality and the basic need to express that spirituality as we individually see fit.
My favorite spiritual places:
Ancient Buddhist temples, the forest, the beach
Interreligious causes I care about:
That we can and should coexist!
Changes I am working toward in my community:
Talking to others about tolerance and the need for understanding
About Me:
I consider myself to be spiritually eclectic. I say this because I express my spirituality in many different ways and with different faiths. Witchcraft feels like home to me. It is deep and comforting. When I visit China I find the oldest temples and spend time there and I always feel at peace. I read Hindu quotes as reminders of another lifetime. I love listening to black baptist ministers who have a lot of fire and energy. I feel for people who cannot or will not open themselves to experiencing all that the spiritual world has to offer!

Hi Vicki,
Thankyou for your friendship request. I really like your sentiments. I think the world needs people like us who look to unite in our spirituality or are open, rather than fixed traditions that divide us.
Ultra Blessings to You
