Action Item #15: Adjusting Privacy Settings

As of July 2nd, PeaceNext was made a public network. What this means is that all content posted to the network (videos, photos, blogs, member profiles, etc.) is now viewable to those who are not yet members. However, individual users still have control of privacy settings for their own content, and this action item is intended to walk you through adjusting those settings, if you so choose.

To begin, you will notice a white box with an orange header in the top right corner of… Continue

Action Item #12

While we will not publicly announce PeaceNext until December, we've taken a step in that direction by changing the privacy settings on the network. Now, anyone can join, though we will continue making improvements to our Beta site until next week.

1. Invite 5 people to join PeaceNext. They should be curious, engaged, and respectful. Invite people who you think will use this network and enjoy the opportunities and community that it will offer.

Action Item #10

For the first week of PeaceNext Beta our action items focused on learning the basic functionalities of the Network and how to move around it. For the second week we have focused on opportunities for connection: how you can reach out to other members through the Forum, Blogs, Groups, and Events.

You publish an "entry" which can be a personal or general argument, opinion, observation, or request. They can be long or short. Action Item #7

1. Take a look at our premiere event here:

http://www.peacenext.org/events/parliament-of-the-worlds

Indicate whether or not you will be going.

If you like, leave a comment!

2. Do you have an interreligious event coming up?

Go ahead and post it for PeaceNext!

At the very least, you'll get a bit of extra publicity (which will become a lot when we go public in just over a week).

3.… Continue

Action Item #6

You may have noticed that we just added a discussion board to PeaceNext.

Your Action Item today is easy: start a discussion and comment on someone else's discussion.

Easy and straightforward, however, are not always the same. After all, a beautiful photo or a cool video are interesting even if nobody comments on it, but the best discussions are always exchanges between at least two people.

Think carefully about what you want to post. Is this something people to… Continue
