In 2008 a boutique hotel bought a small collection of icons for one of their stylish suites. I had the opportunity to see them installed and was satisfied with how elegant they looked. The series was called “Christ as Language”. A series of 5 icons was inspired by the Biblical text, “In the beginning was the word”. The form of communication is not as important as the reality we seek. The…Continue
Our modern crisis is not about God but about us, we continually claim to be the primary beneficiary of God’s creation. We appropriate Gods Force innate in creation to our own will power and limited capacity. .Humanity will one day cease to control the environment and realize we are only part of what naturally is alive and evolving.…Continue

Who is thinking when we awake from a midnight sleep,
comfortable in the bed? Who is that mind fully aware and observing? The other night I was shocked to realize I awoke thinking about packaging around the world and how really wasteful it is. I thought about Sam’s club, a glass jar wrapped up 4 times by the time I got it home. Then I remembered a car radio which I ordered on line, it arrived with excessive Styrofoam and plastic bags for every part. Our lifestyle…Continue

The other day I was watching a program about guns and how they really work. They were shooting watermelons and describing how the bullet destroys. Some bullets explode on impact, others go directly through their target, still others tear and mutilate. I am confused wondering why the manufacturing of guns has created such a fascinating industry, as sport and social behavior. Guns are made from metal, designed and created to kill. I …Continue

Imagine the Mystery
Imagine a world with no boarders. Imagine a world where there is no good, better and best only a desire for kindness and mercy. Imagine a world where we bless and are grateful for all that surrounds us. Imagine and eventually we will be changed in the twinkling of an eye. A new religion committed to a global culture of non-violence, respect, justice, and peace, where there is no more oppression, injury,…

It has long been one of my precepts to live by, that if you love God you will naturally come to love the planet. Lately this concept has been put to the test; so much of our human behavior stresses both ends of the equation. Like many of you, I feel increasing frustration with a world moving too fast, too technical and generally too much of everything.
However every once in a while we stumble upon a life style change of pure delight and magic with little effort. This happened to my…Continue
It’s a shame so many people still use the excuse, “Well, Mary Jane, humans have always been violent”. I say, “Aren’t you sick of the violence yet, I am.” My brother used to say; if you hit someone on the head they pay attention. My husband says; only long enough to prepare to hit you back.Continue
Healing our spiritual selves, in our families, communities, nations, and religions is found in new knowing.
In particular, we each have access to spiritual healing when we reflect on new ways to integrate new horizons and collective thinking. Ask yourself what makes us the same…Continue
Nature is a wonder, but viewed in isolation its complexity and very existence is inexplicable because it is spirit manifested in flesh. Darwin’s genius was to see that the existence can only understood in the context of its interaction with other living things and, its evolutionary…Continue
Our understanding of individuality as separate from the whole was radically changed when that “not cuttable” atom was found to be “cuttable.” Einstein, Darwin, Carl Yung, and many others unknowingly defined individualism and began cutting it up to determine what was in and what was out. Everywhere in the age of discovery and later in the age of communication the focused was…Continue
Experiencing the feeling of being separate somehow, makes you yearn for the indivisible uncreated potential for life, “God”. Individuation is part of the process of creation, first we love as one individual, then this grows to recognize the unique identity in others. The work of becoming an individual is valuable but not the end, rather it becomes a gradual surrender to and for the whole. We are all connected.
Nothingness is the center of reality however within this center we are…Continue
NEW "CONNECTED UNIVERSE" THEORY OFFERS ALTERNATIVE EXPLANATION OF GRAVITY AND THE SOURCE OF MASS

We were trusting fools to have moved so quickly in 5 days with a man we knew nothing about. My husband and I were swept up by the idea that our art installation for World Peace would travel and be seen internationally, beginning with Stanford University,San Francisco. We had signed a contract for…Continue

Art History is rich and abundant with beautiful images that reflect humankind's desire to portray the divine spirit that courses through the physical world. From the small molecule that previous cultures could not even imagine, to the movements of the stars and planetary bodies yet unseen, there is something which connects it all and keeps it in balance. Artists are the designated visual voice working to create evidence of mankind's dedication, devotion and curiosity about the realm…Continue

It is not by creating a more educated, more powerful self that we will save our planet. It will be recognizing we do not stand alone; we share every breath with all of creation. We are all intimately connected with creation and that some great source breathes through it. Harmony might reign when we “know” ourselves to be part of the planet, with no ownership, only visitor’s rights.
Can we dialogue with the earth and transcend a history of violence by gathering and accommodating…Continue

Quiet contemplation seems to work; for others, meditation, chanting, yoga or other techniques cultivate a peaceful state. All ways are valid and bring greater awareness. For me, it lies in painting these beautiful religious icons using this simple organic method of painting which has endured 2,000 years. We each develop and fine tune a way to embrace the vast peace life is offering.
The Key Lies in Beauty
Whatever method you choose to achieve a peaceful…Continue

The universe is a pure gift of promise and possibilities and is driven by energy which is continually transforming, moving, unstable and unpredictable. Try and imagine humanity along these lines; full of promise and possibilities without control. Human energy is self-organizing in an open ended future and knows its highest bliss when we creatively harmonize with universal energy.
Creation does not actually need us. The planet is teaming with life, just look around. Are you surrounded by…
