A Brief Vision of Utopia
In this vision of utopia, there is an absence of government. There is an absence of
military, police, taxation, money and jails.yes""> It can be considered as the ultimate democracy where
decisions are made by a consensus of the community. yes""> One prominent consideration is that people are raised and
educated to be international and even intergalactic citizens. All education and health care are
provided without cost. All people
have appropriate housing and food.
It can be considered as the ultimate socialist society where those who
have the resources freely donate to the cause.yes""> There is a free bartering of products and services where
precious metals serve as the general medium of exchange. It may be considered as an ultimate
capitalist society where there is near perfect information and leveraged
negotiation power between labour and management..yes""> The core of this utopia is the emergence of local and
international civil servants who respond to the needs of society to help
restore and progress the wellbeing of individuals, families, and
communities. When a transgression
has occurred against a community, rather than reverting to retributional
justice, the society pursues restorative justice.yes""> Crimes have been viewed as natural disasters and efforts are
concentrated towards healing those who have been harmed. Within this utopia, there are
differences of opinion, there are arguments, and there is conflict. This is a natural part of
humanity. Yet these differences
are maintained with a heightened consciousness and compassion that recognises
that there is an higher interdependence that supercedes such differences and
that progresses the wellbeing of all within society.
