Action Item #8

Some of you have a great head start on today's action item!

The Blog application is similar, but not identical, to the Forum. While the Forum is a great place to ask questions or start a spontaneous conversation, blogs (short for "web log") is a bit more structured. You publish an "entry" which can be a personal or general argument, opinion, observation, or request. They can be long or short. It's a good way to make an announcement that puts you "on the record" and in a format that urges people to read carefully.

To post a blog entry on PeaceNext click on the "Blogs" tab at top. Click on "Add a Blog Post" to get started. From here you can add the "Post Title" (how it will be described on the Main and Blog pages), the "Entry" (your actual entry), and your "Tags" (keywords that make it easier for other members to search and find your entry). You can also specify how public or private you would like to make your entry, and whether other readers will be able to comment in response.

Today's action item is:
1. Write and post a blog entry.
2. Comment on someone else's blog entry.
3. Drop in on the Forum and either start a new discussion or respond to someone else's discussion.
