First, our PeaceNext Beta Group has well surpassed 100 people from around the world representing a great many faith traditions and personal experiences. I am very excited when I log in, and there's already a wealth of great content here.
Second, I want to post a link to a video that I originally uploaded as a test several weeks ago. If you watch this you may be skeptical of the numbers and citations... don't doubt them. They are real. And while social networks are not really distinct from the internet (as this video may have you believe), they are nevertheless both a visible and dynamic and rapidly evolving facet of our communication today.
If Social Networks can be used to watch commercials from the 1980s or to reconnect with old college flames then there is no reason why we cannot use them to share the important and timely conversation we'll be having in Melbourne this week and throughout the whole world.
Too many bad things are contagious.
Good things can be contagious too.
I'm excited by the work we are doing, and hope that, with Melbourne, we catch the PeaceNext bug.
