As we find ourselves present, gifted by happenstance, how do we measure importance? What adds value and with what metric do we recognize it? It is not an easy question. In the course of a lifetime I think we each create our own metric as we consider our brief exposure as an individual human being. Can and do any of us make a durable difference? Compared to what?
I will guess there is no difference to be made. That things are as they are and it is intended that we recognize that. Should a person settle enough to realize this condition a certain authority is revealed.
I believe the overall drift of humanity has been for the common good. At times we have been better at this than at other-times. It only takes one suicide bomber to ruin the whole day.
