The Soldiers of Our Ghettos

There is a reason our ghettos are becoming militarized, a reason we must soon address with better solutions for poverty, security, justice, and education if we truly hope to avert a crisis and create World Peace.

The fear response has a biological purpose, it triggers the release of a series of hormones that prepare the body to fight or flee.
 
The adrenalized state of the body shifts brain functions in a manner that appears to amplify threat detection and analysis.  Time seems to speed up because the mind appears to operate with higher efficiency, asssisted by physiological changes in brain chemistry in response to dopamine triggers.
 
Part of the reason the mind appears to operate at higher efficiency is because it truncates more recursive or peripheral information processing.  Decisions are made faster because fewer criteria are reviewed or analyzed.  This means decisions are more likely to be made based on past performance, particularly past performance under stress, because it is faster to operate from pre-existing familiar cognitive resources than it is to create new ones.
 
Therefore, fear is an optimal conditioning tool because it reduces a subject's capacity to think creatively about complex matters. 

Consequently, a constant state of fear is desired in subjects of social conditioning to maintain their compliance with and defense of their conditioned social rules systems.
 
The higher the stress, the more effective the conditioning, because higher cognitive functions are stripped away first under stress.
 
Poverty is an ideal stressor to promote conditioning that creates warriors.  Warriors who do not think for themselves and are conditioned to follow a chain of command, such as many Punks or Gangstas, are often more vulnerable to easily shift their alliance to whoever they perceive as in power.
 
Environmental attractors are designed to recruit those most susceptible to shifting their allegiance from their people to their oppressors, providing ideal soldiers.
 
These are ideal soldiers because the mainstream population does not care what happens to them, they are just punk city ghetto kids.
 
These are ideal soldiers because the chain of command understands these kids owe them no genuine allegiance and consider them an enemy and threat in their native urban habitats.  They can send them to their deaths in good conscience because at home they would be criminals.  Those among these ideal soldiers who consistently demonstrate loyalty may rise in command but will not be made privy to their command policies' hypocrisies.
 
These are ideal soldiers because they are raised in an environment that often does not seem to value individual human lives, they are already experienced killers or have high expectations of becoming killers.
 
These are ideal soldiers because they have already been conditioned to hate their own lives and not give a damn if they are killed.
 
Poverty exists for a purpose, and that purpose is not friendly to the majority of citizens.  Poverty exists to socially condition and control the masses, the wealthy, as well as the poor, anyone who is not part of the governing elite.
 
Fear rules.

Our ghetto schools are designed to be stressful on purpose. 
Because social justice advocates are doing a better job of addressing school policy inequities the system must find subversive methods of making our inner urban schools more stressful; policies that make our schools more stressful include:
Underfunding, Metrics based performance reviews, Culturally hostile textbooks and curriculuum, Reduction or elimination of arts and media, etc...
 
It seems we might understand the childhood obesity explosion in these terms too, if we make our richer kids too fat to be soldiers then only victims of drug induced starvation, our already militarized ghetto kids can be conscripted.
 
This also seems to be why drugs are so liberally available within our armed services, the drugs which their recruits are addicted to become an additional means of control.
 
Therefore, impoverishing our ghetto kids' educations and addicting our ghetto kids to drugs is a desireable precondtion to produce more ideal soldiers for conscription.
