Weekly Reflection Series : The Eternal Part 1- Meeting the Eternal

(Before you Start reading this post I would like to get out of your sit and take 3 steps back slowly then take 3 steps  slowly back to your seat)

The reason I asked you to take 3 slow steps and 3 steps slowly back to your seat is to recognize who you stand in front of daily(No Not your Computer) but the Eternal that thing in our lives that exists beyond us yet witnesses to us daily. During this post series I will be sharing with you my view and witness of the Eternal in my life to start off with how we meet the Eternal in our lives I want so much focus on defining the Eternal(That is Tomorrow’s Post)but how we choose to meet the Eternal I think Humanity(Not just Jews) through these ways all co-exist and complement each other

  • Scripture- The most noticeable one: Scriptures help us meet the Eternal through written word whether the Torah,Bhagvad-Gita,or Quran
  • Prayer- The first part of the steps you done before reading this post is taken from a Ritual done before praying the Amidah a prayer in Judaism that allows a Jew to recognize that they are in the prescence of the Eternal.Prayer helps us meet God with our own words and movements.
  • Community- All human beings are made in the Image of the Eternal so when engaged in conversation or helping others we are witnessing the Image of the Eternal
  • Nature- The Universe is the Eternal’s Creation it’s awe shows us we are only a small part of a larger picture .Nature allows us to meet the Eternal in Humility

In all these ways we meet that thing which we call the Eternal so I hope you continue to meet the Eternal in your own lives daily as I have in mine.
