 Have you tried talking to the "lost" feeling to see what it may reveal to you ?  Just staying with whatever is happening & observing it, listening to it, can help open up a little space for a movement to occur to be the "guide" you are looking for.  It always comes from within.

I agree. We humans have designed many forms of tribute to apease and please the Gods. Know that it is a wonder that any of us walk and breath every day. Look around and be at peace.
